Reporting to the Vice President for Advancement, the Director of Stewardship and the Emeritus Club provides support for and works closely and collaboratively with the Senior Director of Development, the Director of 校友 Relations, the Assistant Vice President, the Vice President for Advancement, and the President of the College. The Director of Stewardship and the Emeritus Club is a vital member of the Office of Advancement and 校友 Relations team and maintains an active role in 实现ing the comprehensive fundraising and friend-raising plan for alumni, 捐助者, and other constituencies in order to meet and exceed departmental goals.

 Duties and Responsibilities:

the primary duty and responsibility is to design, 实现, and direct an integrated and comprehensive stewardship program that promotes engagement with and cultivation of 捐助者 at all levels, which includes (but is not limited to):

– completing gift acknowledgement processes, 包括 logging gifts to the College and preparing acknowledgement letters for 捐助者;

– providing programmatic support for the Wesleyan Society, 瑞格尔社会, 黄金的社会, fundraising appeals and solicitations 包括 related events and activities such as the 1890 Challenge and WVWC Giving Day, and departmental 出版物;

– serving as the point of contact and coordinator of the student scholarship acknowledgement process;

– assisting with the upkeep of the donor database and gift tracking system;

– assisting with gift entry in the absence of the Operations Coordinator;

– assisting with departmental events;

– developing effective donor recognition strategies;

– managing a portfolio of select 捐助者 and prospects with engagement and cultivation strategies;

– coordinating all Emeritus Club activities and events, 出版物, and acknowledgements through collaboration with the Emeritus Club president and in concert with the Director of 校友 Relations, 包括, but not limited to, biannual newsletter, 加拿大28开奖coming reception or meal and summer luncheons, induction of new members and 50-year class reunion, birthday cards, and ongoing review of bylaws and membership;

– supporting the President and Vice President in scheduling appointments and making travel arrangements;

– collaborating with the President to develop and 实现 a personalized stewardship plan for his/her current and prospective 捐助者;

– assisting the President in preparing for Board of Trustee meetings and events;

– maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of the College, 包括 mission, 愿景, 历史, and current fundraising and friend-raising priorities ensuring effective representation of all opportunities and priorities for philanthropic support of the College;

– encouraging a culture of gratitude and generosity; and

– other duties as assigned and requested by the Vice President for Advancement and President of the College.

Minimum Job Requirements and Skills:

– Bachelor’s degree with 2-3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified;

– proactive with ability to meet deadlines;

– ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and simultaneous handling of multiple tasks;

– articulate with excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills;

– excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail;

– high level of integrity and ability to maintain confidences with utmost discretion;

– thorough knowledge and use of personal computers and related software applications;

– ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies and diverse communities; and,

– ability to travel and work flexible hours.
